Candidate Forums
The LWV of Lake Minnetonka Plymouth Area (LWVLMPA) hosts non-partisan forums featuring candidates running for local and state offices. Candidate forums help voters get to know the candidates and make informed choices when they head to the polls.
Statement about Remote Participation
The LWVLMPA invites all candidates running for office to participate in our candidate forums. The LWVLMPA Rules and Policies do not allow for remote participation following our long-time practice. Please refer to the LWVLMPA Forum Participation Policy Statement for full details.
Statement on Candidate Forum Recordings
The League of Women Voters Minnesota and our local Leagues conduct candidate forums to provide the public with an opportunity to hear candidates discuss the issues that are important to members of the public. The League is a nonpartisan organization that does not support or oppose any political party or candidate. The views expressed in each forum are those of the candidates, not those of the League of Women Voters. LWV Minnesota and our local Leagues post complete, unedited recordings of forums. Editing is authorized only for official media reporting. Excerpts or edited clips of candidate forums may not be used for partisan or political purposes.
